Final Pre-solo Lesson

8/27/2005

The weather was really nice today. No bouncy thermals, which makes a real nice change from the usual heat infested nasty bumpy high heat index weather we usually get here in central Texas during the summer months...

I performed the usual touch and goes in order to have the process drilled into my brain a few more times. I noticed crosswinds were virtually non-existent today as I occasionally studied the windsock - which looked rather in need of a Viagra pick-me-up...still, the landings went well.

It was my nieces birthday, so we had her there today too, in the pretense of simply watching Uncle Beej do his stuff. After my lesson, we surprised her with a 30 minute lesson (she's only 13 - nice flying appetizer tho).

Tuesday 'should' be the big solo day! Gulp. Bruce said "wear an old T-shirt". What the heck is all that about? He wouldn't tell me why...
