Right Wing I
Now I FEEL like I am building an airplane...
A square-ended bench is everything...

This stage of the build has to be a major benchmark...I know now that it will start to 'look' like I am doing something for my efforts. Just for the hell of it, I threaded all the ribs on the spars 'just to see a real wing'.
I ensured that the table had a true square end. This was critical, because I then screwed a butt piece of lumber to the end, then butted -up the 2 spars and clamped them in place. I then screwed down a couple of L-blocks onto the bench top, spaced out along the rear spar line and clamped the rear spar to them. This ensured that everything will be square and flat during the build.
I started with fixing the compression ribs into place with T-88. The other ribs I will leave loose for now. This is so they can be slid out of the way for elbow room when I start drilling the holes for the drag wires. The rib at st. 2 1/4 will not be fixed until I have mounted and drilled the spar butt fittings.
New block v plans block...
